Accounts Assistant - Part time - 4 mornings a week
6 to 12 month contract
Remote role
A set of Barrister Chambers required the expertise of an Account Assistant who has experience of using Xero.
This role will be covering a maternity leave and will be a part time role ideally working 4 mornings per week (although there could be some flexibility around this) It will primarily be a remote role, requiring you to come in to the office very occasionally to meet with the Finance Manager.
To be considered for this role you will require the following:
- At least 1-2 years of experience using Xero
- Good working understanding of debit and credit entries within Xero
- A good understanding of a nominal/general ledger within the profit and loss of the business.
- Educated to at least A level and have a bookkeeping qualification
- Good written English
- Having an understanding of how a barristers chambers operates, this is not essential but would be helpful as it is a very unique industry
The general duties will be:
- Inputting details into Soldo, a credit card system.
- Posting to the correct ledgers within the Nominal Ledger,
- Purchase ledger invoices - There are on average in excess of 100-125 over the course of the month
- Keeping Xero correct and up to date for the sales/purchases
- Online banking required
- Monitoring, responding and dealing with all the accounts inbox queries
- Running reports in Lex for the members of Chambers accountants
- Ad hoc duties
