Regulatory & Compliance lawyer - Cryptocurrency

Inventum Group is currently partnering with a Cryptocurrency start-up, who are seeking a lawyer of circa 3PQE to join their legal team.

This role will require you to have an understanding of the regulatory space, and want to expand your knowledge into the Cryptocurrency sector (experience in crypto is not essential).

The duties will be mix of regulatory and compliance with responsibility for matters such as :

• taking the lead on matters such as AML, ABC and KYC
• completing due diligence on both clients and investors
• liaising on GDPR for internal matters and employees
• financial regulatory research ie MIFID
• Wolfsberg Questionnaires
• financial Transparency
• understand key reporting obligations and ensure that there is compliance

This dual regulatory and compliance role would allow for development and growth, with the team keen to mentor and ensure that lawyers become well rounded in-house Counsel.

This position would suit a lawyer who has trained in-house or has been on secondment and is able to hit the floor running and take responsibility for tasks yet want to upskill in the field of crypto investments.

This role will require the lawyer to have strong drafting skills, have an awareness of the multijurisdictional landscape and be able to manage external stakeholders.
