If you are a Data Privacy Lawyer who is looking for a role that will provide autonomy, yet also have you working in a collaborative, supportive and friendly team, then this in-house role with a Global Law firm could be your next career move.

Assisting the firm's Head of Risk, DPO and Senior Lawyer's within the Risk Team on the firm's internal data privacy compliance globally, you will be advising on a range of data privacy issues (subject access requests, data breaches, client and supplier terms and firm projects where personal data are involved) supporting the fee earners, partners and business service teams globally.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Reviewing and advising on the data privacy implications of a range of agreements, including client engagement terms, supplier agreements, and other third-party contracts and data sharing agreements.
  • Assessing and responding to data breaches and putting in place containment/mitigation strategies in relation to the same.
  • Assisting in responding to DSARs and other data subject right requests, advising the business and updating our procedures in relation to the same.
  • Assisting in creating and delivering ongoing data privacy training globally, including other awareness raising initiatives across the firm.
  • Assisting in reviewing, monitoring and maintaining a suite of global data privacy policies and procedures.

Ideally you will be a qualified lawyer with at least 4 years PQE in data protection law and have experience working within in a law firm .Applications are also open to those that are Data Privacy Subject Matter Experts, but not a qualified lawyer, and have worked in an in-house team covering the responsibilities above.
