Job description
Our client a family office, with a focus on financial technology, asset management and real estate is looking to hire an Accountant.
You will be expected to be in the office four or five days a week.
Your Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the monthly bookkeeping process for various investment and asset classes, including bank reconciliations, FX revaluations, accruals, and prepayments.
- Prepare monthly financial and management reporting.
- Ensure efficiencies within team: identifying & implementing areas for automation and process improvement.
- Prepare payments for both UK & offshore bank accounts.
- Liaise with advisors including private banking contacts, solicitors and accountants.
- Compile tax return information for external accountants including personal tax, corporate tax & VAT.
- Review of statutory accounts and tax returns prepared by third parties.
- Process payroll for UK and staff in other jurisdictions.
- General project management and budgeting as required.
- Ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
- General bank and investment admin.
Looking For
- AAT qualified or working towards an ACA/ACCA qualification. Recently qualified candidates will also be considered. Experience from a similar background.
- Experience of using accounting systems.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to work in a small team i.e. happy to take on tasks to support the team more effectively.
- Capable of multi-tasking, ensuring deadlines are met and tasks are followed through to completion.
