Job Title: Product Control VP or Director
Location: London
Working Style: Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 from home)

A leading global financial services firm is seeking a senior-level Product Control VP or Director to take ownership of the product control function supporting its Prime Brokerage and Equities business lines.

This is a high-impact leadership role, offering visibility to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to shape and enhance financial controls across a growing trading environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily P&L production and balance sheet substantiation for Prime Brokerage and Equities desks

  • Manage and mentor a team of product controllers working across equity and structured product trading

  • Ensure timely, accurate P&L attribution, valuation adjustments, and balance sheet integrity

  • Act as a key liaison between Product Control, Front Office, Risk, Finance, and Operations teams

  • Deliver strategic insights and commercial analysis on trading and risk performance to senior management

  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and regulatory frameworks including PRA and Fed reporting requirements

  • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and reporting enhancements

  • Represent Product Control in internal audits, governance forums, and regulatory reviews

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

  • Deep experience in product control within a Prime Brokerage and/or Equities environment

  • Strong understanding of equity derivatives and structured products

  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to partner effectively with stakeholders across the business

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with P&L and front-office systems
