Accounts Receivable - Brokerage/ Financial Services

Our client, a market-leading executing broker, is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist in London to join their team. The London HQ is based in the city, and they have offices in New York, Chicago, and Singapore. The firm is recognised as a market-leader in its field of providing top-level voice and electronic execution on exchanges and OTC markets across the globe.

The firm is looking for an individual to join its Brokerage Receivables team in London, with overall responsibility for receivables in its business units in Europe, the US and Asia. Although based in the UK, this position will also involve acting as appoint of contact for the US and Singapore offices.

The role is in a fast-paced environment and will suit a self-starter who is comfortable with operating in a small team but can also work autonomously as and when required.

Main responsibilities:

• Jointly responsible for collecting the firm's global receivables.
• Updating the firm's receivables program as an when necessary.
• Maintaining the desk procedures.
• Providing management statistics.
• eGAINS and GPS payments and bookings.
• Brokerage Receivable and Bad Debt reporting.
• Liaising with exchanges and counterparties, including responding to routine queries, audits, and investigations.

Experience Required:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in financial services
• Attention to detail, knowledge of reconciliations.
• Design and understanding of an effective control environment.
• Exposure to a broking environment would be beneficial.
• Current knowledge of eGUS, eGAINS, GPS would be beneficial.
• Prior experience at a similar broker or bank in a brokerage receivables or credit control environment is a strong advantage.
