Are you currently seeking a local role in North London where you can utilise your bookkeeping skills working for a smaller, boutique accountancy firm? Or maybe you enjoy owning a larger portfolio of clients that you can build long term relationships with?

If so, we are working very closely with the firm to recruit a Bookkeeping Supervisor to join their growing team. We have placed a number of people with them who have progressed and been promoted within. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transactional accounting, with specific experience working on construction and property sectors being highly advantageous.

As the Bookkeeping Supervisor you will be:

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts/information
• Assisting with the drafting of budgets, periodic management/client reports and cashflow reporting/forecasting.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns and CIS returns.
• Bank, Sales ledger and Bought ledger reconciliations.
• Work with offshore teams and review their work.
• Preparation of tax returns
• Completing VAT registrations for individuals and groups
• Analysing income & expenses incurred by Clients

You will need to have:

• Strong understanding of the basic principles of bookkeeping and accounting.
• AAT full or part qualified
• CIS experience.
• Microsoft Office knowledge is essential, particularly MS Excel.
• Experienced with SAGE and Xero.
