Role: Deputy Financial Controller

Reports to: Financial Controller & CFO

Type: Permanent, Hybrid

The company:

Our client is a FTSE 250 listed Global Real Estate business that are offering an amazing Hybrid position in their beautiful modern offices located in central London.

The role:

The role sits within a finance team of 7 and consists of CFO, Financial Controller, FP&A Manager, Senior Accountant and Systems Accountant.

Key responsibilities:

• Review of European Country Balance sheets including review of local supporting reconciliations with a view to clean up historic balances and improve visibility of movements
• Review of country reporting packs/information requests with a view to streamlining this in light of findings from the balance sheet review
• Support the move towards consistent application of accounting policies - in particular with a focus on the application of IFRS 15
• Linking in to the above, supporting development of balance sheet controls currently being undertaken through an existing 'UK SOX' workstream which is overseen by the PLC and EME Risk & Compliance teams
• Overhaul of the Hyperion consolidation journals process, streamlining the number of journals and the posting process
• Support through the consolidation/year end close process in Jan 2023.

Skills Needed to Apply:

• ACA/CA/CPA or equivalent
• A broad understanding of IFRS and application of IFRS in practice.
• Top 5 preferred but not essential
• Experience of using a large-scale consolidation and reporting system is essential. Experience of using Hyperion (Oracle financial reporting system) or equivalent
