A SME financial services client of ours is looking for a Financial Accounting manager to join their finance team asap. To be successful in the role you will need strong people management skills (small team) and the ability to prioritise work in a challenging environment.

They work to a hybrid model where you must be in the office three times a week.

They are ideally looking for you to be a qualified candidate looking for your first step into industry from practice or someone already working in the commercial sector looking for progression.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Responsibility for key elements of the monthly, quarterly and year end statutory, regulatory and management reporting across UK and overseas entities.
• Responsibility for monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Manage a small team, ensuring the sales to receipt and purchase to payment processes operate smoothly.
• Ownership of operating cost and income recording processes.
• Identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Ad-hoc duties as required to support Finance Operations.

• A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA).
• UK and international reporting experience including statutory and regulatory accounts and VAT returns.
• Ability to speak French is highly desirable but not essential.
• Knowledge of sales and purchase ledger processes.
• Working knowledge of VAT regulations for international service delivery.
• Excellent computing skills including Outlook, Excel, and cloud-based accounting systems. Xero and SAP experience are desirable but not essential.
