We are currently working with a leading, global publishing brand and they are looking for a Group Accounting Manager to join their team in Berlin. This is a German-speaking role whereby you will take responsibility for the monthly and annual financial statements (IFRS), as well as analyzing the financial processes of international projects.

TASKS:

• Involvement in the preparation of annual financial statements (IFRS) for the Group

• Involvement in the preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts (IFRS)

• Analysis of monthly movements in the consolidated balance sheet and consolidated income statement

• Support in projects, e.g. group-wide account processes, and systems, due diligence, integration of new companies into reporting processes/systems

• Ad-hoc reporting for requests from management and shareholders

• Subject expert and contact person for specific IFRS/accounting areas of business

• Analysis of monthly reporting packages from subsidiaries and continuous improvement of the reporting process.

ABOUT YOU:

Essential requirements are:

• University Degree in Business Administration, with a focus on financial reporting and accounting and/or controlling or a degree as a certified accountant.

• Strong Excel Skills

• Practical experience in group reporting

• Strong communication and analytical skills

• Fluent in English and German - spoken and written

• Good knowledge of IFRS

• Good accounting skills/practical experience

Desirable:

• Experience in audit

• Experience with Hyperion Financial Management and Hyper Smart View

• Experience in working with SAP FI / CO and S4
