Job title: IFRS Finance Manager
Contract length: 12 Months
Location: London
Pay rate: £500-£600 a day Inside IR35
We are partnered with an international telecommunication company who are looking for an IFRS Finance Manager to join their London Office. The successful candidate will be providing accounting support for a broad range of commercial transactions and projects. The role requires detailed analysis of transactions and a clear understanding of IFRS requirements. It also requires the ability to interpret new and existing accounting standards to determine their potential impact, given the Group's wide range of activities and financial transactions.
In this role you will provide:
- Timely and high-quality technical accounting guidance will be delivered to all parts of the business, including the preparation of accounting memorandums and aligning conclusions with auditors.
- Specific guidance on the application of IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 will be offered to all parts of the business, while collaborating with the wider Group operational and analysis teams, external advisors, and auditors.
- Group-wide financial information will be thoroughly analysed to offer insights and make recommendations on financial reporting within the Group.
- Application guidance for the Group's Financial Reporting and Governance Manual will be drafted to reflect changes to IFRS or other identified accounting issues.
You will need:
- Fully qualified accountant ACCA/ACA/CIMA/ICAEW (or similar).
- A strong working knowledge of IFRS (including IFRS 15 and IFRS 16) will be applied, along with the ability to research GAAP materials for appropriate accounting treatments and identify and resolve potential reporting issues from reported information.
- Strong communication.
- A proactive approach ensuring timely and high-quality completion of stakeholder's requests, while managing priorities to meet longer-term deliverable.
