  • Write and edit in-depth, analytical reports with a clear eye towards our desired corporate audience
  • Develop, test, and explore research hypotheses rooted in quantitative analysis
  • Write a Global Outlook on a quarterly basis, and ensure the regular updating of our scheduled country-by-country reports
  • Monitor and adjust our sectoral forecasts, detecting and reporting data issues to the Economics Department
  • Work with your managers to train and mentor colleagues, editing their work and giving regular feedback to ensure that they reach their full potential
  • Work with the wider Country and Industry Analysis teams, acting as prime spokesperson on Energy and climate change related topics
  • Represent the EIU externally in presentations, conferences, client meetings and media interviews, including via our Speaker service. Assist with development of Thought Leadership and Custom publishing products for the industry
  • Support the sales team by visiting clients, giving presentations and teleconference calls to increase sales conversions and renewals

Skills and Experience:

  • A confident grasp of industry trends, company analysis, and management thinking
  • A clear understanding of industry forecast models
  • Excellent writing, editing and project management skills
  • First-rate communications skills and an authoritative analyst and public speaker
  • Strong personal drive, at ease with senior executives
  • Self-starter with excellent at time-management
  • Fluency in a second language (eg, Spanish, Chinese, French, German, Russian) is an advantage
