If so, I am currently working with a FTSE250 listed real estate business based in London who are looking for a strong Management Accountant to join their growing UK operations.

The role itself sits within accounting function that looks after a portfolio of 90 property and investment companies within the group and will involve managing the Accounts Payable team.

The ideal profile will be a newly qualified ACA/CA auditor who is looking for their first move into industry and should be looking for career progression.

Management Accountant duties include:

• Quarterly period close procedures including, but not limited to, journal postings, balance sheet reconciliations and detailed review of company trial balances (including variance analysis)
• Production of various quarterly reports for designated subsidiaries including:
• Comprehensive variance analysis
• Development cost reports
• Management accounts
• VAT returns
• CIS returns (monthly)
• Quarterly forecasting of rental income and administrative overheads
• Analyse tenancy statistics and data for inclusion in the quarterly board reports
• Preparation of the annual statutory accounts for designated subsidiaries in accordance with FRS101
• Liaising with the Group tax department on tax matters specific to the designated subsidiaries (including aiding with annual corporation tax returns)
• Consolidation (one annual consolidation) in accordance IFRS;
• Group property management (one region)
• Ad-hoc projects currently including:
• Internal Controls Project with Group Financial Controller
• Providing financial support to Development Team (budgeting and monthly reporting) and further development of the SMR budgeting process;
• MRI training - provide finance specific training

Management Accountant requirements:

• Must be ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified
• Strong attention to detail
• Be willing to learn and develop
