Operations Associate - Audit 6-month FTC, Remote

International Shift - 2pm to 10pm GMT/BST

Our client, a market leading provider of investor communications is looking to hire their next Operations Audit Associate as they navigate Audit processing periods. This is a 6-month fixed term contract, with possibility of extension. As it sits within the international teams, working hours are from 2-10pm typically, predominantly remote. If you are the type of person who does your best work when everyone else has gone home, this is a great role for you - we are seeking night owls who are more alert and perform better in the later hours of the day and enjoy having time in the mornings.

The role consists of performing audit checks and reconciliation of the daily processes carried out by the Operations and Client Service Teams ensuring everything is processed correctly prior to being submitted. It is a great opportunity to gain understanding of audits and operations within the Financial Services industry, working in a global, reputable business.

General Responsibilities:

  • Proactively engages in audit work to identify and resolve business risks/challenges.
  • Ensure proxy meetings are accurately set up.
  • Audit of proxy voting to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure power of attorney documentation is accurately processed.
  • Audit of letters of representation to ensure clients are correctly represented at proxy events.
  • Support the implementation of new audit processes.
  • Responsible for maintaining and reporting effective management information.
  • Maintain professional working relationships with internal business partners.

Experience Required:

  • GCSE/A-level educated or equivalent in Maths in English.
  • At least 2 years hands-on experience performing operational processing, audit and/or reconciliation.
  • Strong administrative talent - ability to accurately perform reconciliations incorporating significant volumes and across a diverse range of processes.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office - in particular Excel skills.
  • Well organized with good communication and prioritization skills.
  • Exposure to brokerage, proxy or financial business operations would be advantageous but is not essential and training will be provided.
