A SME Financial Services client of our is looking for a Product Controller/Management Accounting to join their London based team. The role is hybrid based with currently four days expected in the office. With overall responsibility for managing the accounting for its Corporate FX business based in the Middle East.

The role is also integrated within the overall Finance team and has responsibility for various aspects of the monthly tasks performed by the Finance team as well as the year-end audit.

Key responsibilities include the following:

Product Control

• Perform daily reconciliations of the FX business and liaise with Middle Office to understand reconciling items.
• Daily liquidity calculations for the FX business and share metrics externally with lenders.
• Monthly booking of FX revenues, collateral adjustments and reconciling to external statements.
• Maintaining the Middle Eastern entities cashbook.
• Calculating loan interest accruals and charges.

Financial Control

• Calculating loan interest accruals and charges.
• Supporting the day-to-day and month-end close processes.
• Preparing Middle Eastern entities regulatory capital returns monthly and supporting ICAAP process.
• Reconciling accrual / clearing costs for accounts.
• Reconciling movement on accounts for purposes of booking revenues and fees for FX and Swaps businesses.
• Monthly corporation tax provisions.
• Payroll journal reconciliation and Year-end financial statement preparation.

You should be ideally qualified or close to (CIMA/ACCA/ACA). With a inimum 2 years' experience in financial services preferred. Derivatives product knowledge would be preferred. Along with design and understanding of an effective control environment.
