Job description

Main scope:
Provides managerial and technical support to our client Executive team to set up aninternational public health policy program in Germany in collaboration with the government, research, civil society, and other key decision and policy makers stakeholders, which includes but is not limited to defining Foundation strategic approach and related work plan, initiate operations, including administrative setup.

Tasks:
•Developssituational analyses on German international public health and policies related to our client advocacy priorities (incl. but not limited to infectious disease and people-centered care)to inform and support German program setup and development.
• In collaboration with our client's Executive team, perform field assessment, identification of potential partners and collaborators, and preparation of logical frameworks, work plans, and detailed budgets.
• Takes the lead in setting up initial country operations by facilitating the selection and contracting of local legal, tax, payroll, accounting, bank, audit, HR, etc. local services providers, supporting registration of our client legal entity, and identifying suitable renting opportunities for office.
• Identifies and implements opportunities for collaboration with other key stakeholders working in the field of our client programs and policy priorities.
• Serves as our client representative of the country program with partners, private and public agencies, research institutions, and civil organizations. Represents our client at meetings and maintains a wide range of related contacts.
 • Updates with the latest information about international public health-related policy, laws, and regulations in Germany; monitors and reports any changes across Germany on our client program and policy priorities issues;
• Submits regular detailed reporting of the activities, progress, and updates on a weekly and monthly basis to our client management on project activities and a detailed quarterly report for our client consultations and reviews.
• Undertakes other duties as may be assigned from time to time by our client management.

Deliverables:
1. Business case for Germany’s international public health program including budget (proposal of projects and budget allocation to implement this program)
2. Provide at least three referrals for each of the following categories -GermanyLegal consultant; German tax consultant; Germany Real Estate Consultant; German accounting services provider, GermanHR, and recruitment services provider, and German banking services provider
3. Statement of work (definition of program(technical, operations, marketing, partners) and secure stakeholders’ acceptance of it)
 4. Program work plan(definition of the program time line and expected results and allocation of the work effort to meet designated deadlines) –TBD deadline
5. Monitoring plan forGermanyprogram (tools and methods to evaluate and measure project results and performance) –TBD deadline
7. Operational plan for initiation ofGermanyprogram –TBD deadline

Terms:
This position is available as direct hiring to our client company or can be arranged as a freelance /interim (preference of the candidate).
Languages: English and German advanced level written and spoken
Business Trips in Germany and to the EU HQ in Amsterdam
Hybrid working, full-time 40-36h a week.
