Job Title: Finance Manager - Direct Tax (Maternity Cover)
Location: London Area
Contract: Temporary, 9-12 Months
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: £450-£550 per day
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Finance Manager to join our direct tax team on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave. This is an great role for an experienced professional to support our corporation tax team, working alongside two experienced Direct Tax Managers focusing on CT compliance and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare corporation tax returns and undertake tax reporting and forecasting calculations.
- Review capital allowance analysis for large projects to ensure accurate tax treatment.
- Support corporation tax reporting team at year-end, half-year, and during forecasting.
- Assist with change projects and implement efficiency improvements.
- Maintain excellent relations with HMRC and raise tax awareness within the organization.
- Provide technical support on discrete tax issues and potentially engage in broader tax matters.
Qualifications and Experience:
- ACA/ACCA qualification, ideally with CTA/ATT, and several years of post-qualification experience in tax.
- Proven experience in corporation tax compliance and reporting.
- Strong project management and time management skills.
- Proficiency in IT with strong skills in relevant software (Excel, Oracle, OneSource).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with key stakeholders.
- Experience in providing capital allowance analysis is highly desirable.
