Financial Controller

Location: Frankfurt, Germany

Salary: €90,000-€100,000

The Opportunity

An international bank is seeking a Financial Controller to join its Finance team in Frankfurt.

In this role, you will help ensure that the bank's books and records are maintained in line with applicable regulatory requirements and accounting standards. You will support the preparation of financial information for financial close, regulatory reporting and governance processes within a regulated German banking entity.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare financial information and meeting materials for governance forums including finance and tax committees, management and supervisory boards and other regulatory meetings.
• Produce financial information in line with IFRS and HGB accounting standards.
• Support the month-end financial close process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Prepare documentation and financial data required for internal and external audits.
• Contribute to financial, regulatory and statistical reporting requirements.
• Work closely with stakeholders across finance and the wider organisation to support reporting and control activities.

Requirements

• Fluent German and English.
• Qualified accountant.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical and data analysis skills.
• Previous experience within financial services or banking.
