Our client who is a SME within the European Investment banking space is looking for a Financial Reporting Accountant.

You will support the Financial Control function for key entities and contributing to the internal and external reporting process. This role presents an ideal opportunity to develop a wide range of core accounting, reporting and control skills as well as develop a key overall understanding of the Capital Markets businesses and how each operates within the legal entity framework.

You will work to a hybrid weekly schedule where you will be expected to be in the office three days a week.

Key responsibilities are listed below but not limited to this only.

• Supporting Bank Levy calculation and forecasting processes.
• Supporting the Accounting Policy Interpretation Committee function and any new policy papers.
• Supporting New Business Committee function and assessment of Financial Control impact.
• Supporting month end/quarter end close processes which include, monitoring controls and accounts, processing journals, reconciliations, analytical review and preparation of monthly and quarterly Management Information Systems.
• Supporting statutory reporting on a range of legal entities.
• Liaising with external and internal auditors as required.
• Ensuring adequate documentation of processes and procedures are maintained.
• Ad hoc projects and tasks as required.

Requirements for this position.

• Professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
• Understanding of regulation within a Banking environment.
• Legal Entity or Financial Control experience within a Bank.
• Experience in problem solving Financial Control issues.
• SOX audit knowledge.
