Assistant Accountant - Excellent PART-TIME opportunity £40,000 (£20,000 pro rata)

We are recruiting for a really fantastic TV production company, based near Old Street, who help NGOs acquire new donors through direct response television and digital video. They use film to help to inspire current donors to continue to keep giving. We work with media agencies to help NGOs manage response effectively and deliver the best results possible.

The role is working 20 hours per week. You'll be a vital part of their busy Finance Team, working with Account Managers and the Finance Manager to ensure smooth finance processes throughout the agency.

What are we looking for?

Our client is expanding their Finance team in London, and you'll be part of a close-knit team of 3. You will have experience in general ledger and be looking for a new challenge.

• Hands-on and attention to detail approach
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience of Sage - desirable (not essential)
• Strong level of Microsoft Excel

What you will do

• Raise, send and follow up on invoices
• Processing of media purchase invoices
• Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies against budgets
• Maintain projects register
• Managing payroll for one entity
• Assist with year-end/audit when required

What you need to know

• Understanding of IFRS Standards
• Understanding of VAT rules and regulations
• You'll need to know the basics of all aspects of Finance and Accounting
• Understanding and ability to work with multi-currencies

Experience

• 2 years+ accounts experience, preferably in an agency environment or SME.
• Experience preparing payroll would be a particular advantage.
