We are working with a specialist UK business bank to identify an experienced procurement professional to own and manage procurement of all products and services for use in the business, identifying potential supplier sources and negotiating the most cost-efficient ethical supplier solutions.

Key Duties

• Oversight of the on-boarding and management of critical partners and suppliers
• Implementing best-practice supplier governance & risk controls whilst minimising bureaucracy and waste
• Providing early warning and support to stakeholder's resolution process through reporting and data insights
• Coaching key business stakeholders to ensure suppliers deliver the right service at the best price point
• Oversight of tenders, evaluating bids and making recommendations, based on commercial and technical factors
• Overall responsibility for supplier records and use them to support effective management and audit
• Developing strategies to make sure that cost savings and supplier performance targets are met or exceeded
• Ensuring the security and sustainability of sources of essential products and services
• Analysis of data and statistics on spending and saving opportunities
• Keeping up to date with trends and innovations, regulation and new technology that can impact on the business
• Managing the supplier community ensuring they operate within their SLAs and controls

Qualifications and Experience

• CIPS Qualified
• Experience of balancing differing priorities and demands by using cost metrics, business need and risk profiles
• Experience of implementing procurement governance structures
• Experience of influencing key stakeholders on governance controls
• Experience of delivering in a regulatory environment
